My name is Connor Blakeney

And I'm a software developer who gets a kick out of making something from nothing. I recently graduated from Nashville Software School where I learned to make full-fledged applications and websites using React and Django. There I learned to develop software in an Agile, team-based work environment. Thanks to my time at NSS I know how to get your product out on time while maintaining a high quality standard.

My love for software wasn't discovered immediately. I actually graduated with a degree in Political Science and moved to Washington D.C. to make a career in politics there. It didn't take long before I realized my bright-eyed and optimistic hopes for changing the system for the better were less realistic than I initially thought. After a year, I concluded politics was not for me.

I then worked many blue-collar jobs, from taking a role as Management Trainee at a chicken plant to driving a van as a medical courier. I knew, however, that these were not long term solutions. Fortunately after some research and reflection, I decided to give software a shot. The rest is history.

My time at NSS has served to make me an adaptable team-player, an effective communicator in a technical environment, and an efficient learner. From my various work experiences, I have developed an insatiable work ethic and the desire to constantly improve as I deliver top-quality work.
